Is it just me, or did everyone decide to skip Thanksgiving this year? It’s five days after Halloween, and I swear half of my neighborhood has their Christmas decorations up. I love Christmas as much as the next guy. Heck, the inside of my house looks like a Frosty the Snowman daycare center. But five days after Halloween? My lazy butt won’t even throw away the rotting pumpkins for another five days.
Anyways, rant over. Happy Tuesday! I’m going to try every Tuesday get up my weekly Amazon Prime purchases. This is the perfect week to start because there’s currently four Prime boxes sitting at my door. The worst part, I have no clue what’s in them! That’s when you know you have a problem.
Humidifier: Jace has gotten really bad allergies since moving back to Texas. So bad they wake him up at night sometimes. We’ve started giving him Zyrtec, but I haven’t noticed a difference yet. My friends suggested this cold air humidifier at night. It’s currently 50% off. So if you or your littles are dealing w allergies right now, this is a good deal. We just got it, so I’ll let you know how it works.
Facial Razor: Girl, shave your face! I know, sounds weird, but my friend Kristin Gill at GrowingUpGill.com suggested it a couple of months ago. It’s a game-changer! It’s not like I have a hairy face. The razor takes off a lot of the dead skin, and allows my moisturizer and make-up to go on so much smoother. People ask me all the time how I get my make-up to last in the heat, and it’s three things: Good make-up, primer, and shaving my face. Insert crying-face emoji. You can use a regular razor. I use this one. It’s only like $5.
Warning: be careful getting too close to your eyebrows….you make lose some. Speaking from experience.
Sweater shaver: this thing is so addicting. I don’t know what it is about shaving off the loose fibers on clothes and furniture, but I find it so therapeutic. I had one that lasted me 15 years. I finally bit the bullet and got this one last week. I mainly use it on furniture. My barstools look brand new again (except for the chair leg our puppy decided to chew through).
Robot vacuum: I bought this one a couple months ago and have gotten so many questions on it. t’s my favorite thing I own! Yep, a vacuum. We’ve got a chihuahua and a lab puppy, so there is dog hair everywhere. This thing cleans better than my Dyson. There’s a few hiccups, like sometimes it doesn’t get all the way onto the charger and will run out of battery. I can live with that. I run it when I’m gone running errands or at night before bed. It seriously looks like a maid came in and cleaned the floors. And it’s still $100 off and a lot cheaper than the Roomba.
I think that’s about it! There’s some other junk I order this week that no one would find interesting- diapers, wipes, dog bones, etc.
Have a wonderful week!
